Oluchi brings Next Top Model to Africa
Oluchi's production company, Lulu Productions, has bought the African format rights for America's Next Top Model. Oluchi will serve as host and executive producer, while South African Tourism will sponsor the show. The modeling reality show will begin production in August in Cape Town, South Africa. Models will be selected from eight countries throughout Africa.

Nigerian woman tries to commit suicide days before she was due to be deported from the UK
According to the Daily Mail, a 19 year old Nigerian girl married to a British man attempted to take her life just days before she was due to be deported to Nigeria. May Brown said she fled to the UK three years ago after witnessing her father's murder and being subjected to sexual abuse.
She settled in Dorset where she met and married Michael Brown in December 2012. May applied to stay in the UK and her application was rejected because UK Border Agency officials believed her marriage Michael was fake.
When May was informed that she would be deported today April 25th, she took an overdose of prescription pills. Meaning she would rather die than return to Nigeria. Choi! Nigeria is not that bad na. See the rest of the report after the cut...

Sport:Luis Suarez banned for 10 matches by FA for biting Ivanovic
Liverpool striker Luis Suarez has received a 10-game ban from the English FA for biting Chelsea defender Branislav Ivanovic during a game on Sunday April 21st.
The FA released a statement today saying:
"A three-person independent regulatory commission today upheld the FA's claim that a suspension of three matches was clearly insufficient and the player will serve a further seven first-team matches in addition to the standard three.The suspension begins with immediate effect."
Suarez has until Friday April 26th to appeal the suspension.
NEWS:Nigerian MIT Grad Student Chidube Ezeozue creates App to Track & Predict PHCN Power Outages
Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) graduate student Chidube Ezeozue is one of those who grew up frustrated by his nation’s erratic electrical grid. Chidube graduated from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka.
Together with his brother, Chidube is working on an app that sources information about the power outage situation. According to the MIT journal ” with the app, called NepaSituation, people living in Nigeria can report outages. This data, when merged into an algorithm developed by Ezeozue, can help Nigerians predict when power outages may strike their neighborhoods, and how long those outages might last.“
“With over 100 million cell phones in Nigeria, we knew it was an important resource we could tap into,” Ezeozue says. “It took a while to come up with this algorithm, because the outages are pretty randomized, and the app is only as good as the number of people who enter outage data.”

Star Jaywon survives Horrible Auto Crash
“This Year” crooner, Jaywon was involved in a horrible auto crash on the night of April 17, 2013. Fortunately, the Kennis Music ensign, who was on his way from a music video shoot for his single “Catch Me If You Can” featuring Ice Prince & Phenom, survived the car crash and not in a critical condition either.
Update - Reports claim that an undisclosed friend of Jaywon was directly involved in the crash as he droveJaywon‘s Lincoln Navigator from the video shoot. Jaywon is in healthy condition.
