CHRISTIAN LOUBOUTIN RELEASES HIS AMAZING 20TH ANNIVERSARY COLLECTION.

cl20yrsRecently, Monsieur Louboutin celebrated 20years since the launch of his eponymous label, CHRISTIAN LOUBOUTIN. The now very famous brand among every fashionista and lady worth her red-lacquered soled stilettos was launched in 1991.
The designer’s fascination with shoes started in 1976 after he visited a museum of arts and he spotted an image of a sign from Africa forbidding women wearing sharp stilettos from entering a building for fear of damage to the extensive wood flooring. And in trying to defy that he said “I wanted to create something that broke rules and make women feel confident and empowered”. After 10 years of being in brief employment with Charles Jourdan, an apperentice with Roger Viver and as a freelance designer at the house of Chanel, Yves Saint Laurent, and Maude Frizon, he launched his label in 1991 with the goal to “make a woman look sexy, beautiful, to make her legs look as long as [he] can.” (Wikipedia)
And by the looks of things and profit made by the company, that goal, he has most certianly achieved and more. Every woman that can possibly afford a pair of CLs wears her shoes with so much confidence and panache. And women that can’t afford them, are buying the outright fake or a high street (well made) version of the red or any other colour that fits lacquered soled shoes. The red soles are now so popular that the brand is currently trying to put a trademark on the use of the RED Lacquered SOLES to his shoes only.
So to honour his brand in the shoe making/fashion industry, Mr Louboutin releases an amazing capsule collection of 20 shoes to celebrate the 20years. The collection is a mix of super high heels (which the brand is well known for) in boots, sandals and court shoes, slippers, sandals and a pair of mens shoes. And these are no doubt collectors’ items. The shoes are variations of what he has produced in the last 20years with different take on heels or platform or colour. They also tick the boxes for the Spring/Summer 2012 colour trends as well as fashion trends of fringes, bows, sheer, boudoir. Would love to have each of these and just stare at them.
Monsieur, I bow to your creativity and pray for another 20 more years of SEXY RED LACQUERED SOLES
